Moscow Fashion Week 2024 Review: The Status Symbol Magazine – Official Information Partner

From October 4 to 9, 2024, Moscow hosted the third Moscow Fashion Week, organized by the Fashion Fund and the Moscow Government. The official information partner was The Status Symbol magazine. Collections were shown by both Russian brands and designers from Indonesia, India, China, Brazil, the UAE, and Costa Rica. The editor-in-chief of The Status Symbol magazine attended 12 shows, including the Chinese brand KenSun, Russian fashion designers and brands Beena, Dora Nikolaeva, Leffers, Addicted_to, Flashin, Sponta, Atelier Irina Vorobyeva, Alena Nega, Daria Norkina No. 97, Koss, Alexandra Serova.
For the second season in a row, the Moscow Fashion Week has seen a trend towards “wearability” of models from the catwalk. Designers present both evening collections and elegant and sophisticated prêt-à-porter. Avant-garde designers remain in the minority. The catwalk is dominated by shades of white and black, red and brown, diluted with bright prints, including leopard, straight elongated silhouettes – long evening dresses and skirts, elongated coats, as well as strict classics – jackets and coats with wide shoulders.
The collections of the Koss brands by Olga Kossinsky, Olga Leffers, Alena Negi and Alexandra Serova are striking in their sophistication. Women designers are behind real fashion in Russia.
