What we know about a new brand?
Last week, loved by the international jet-set and celebrities, Peter Dundas presented his first collection at Paris haute couture. “It’s the 18th century meets the Seventies”, said Peter Dundas after the runway debut of his eponymous label, established in London. The collection consists of 28 looks – ruffled baroque dresses, lace corset mini dresses, art-deco gowns, Liberty gowns, eclectic kaftans and sequinned rock T-shirt dresses – that will be so familiar to the jet-set It-girls.
At Dundas World Peter Dundas continues to develop his glamorous and sexy style. He has a big talent to make prints and colors, patterns, textures as he did for Emilio Pucci during his 7 years at Florentine house.
As many designers, Peter Dundas wanted to start his own line from the point of view that “you’re not dependent on or economically burdened by needing to do traditional collections.”
The line is currently self-funded by Peter Dunad and his parter in love and in business Evangelo Bousis, but they are still looking for the potential investors. The brand is “seasonless”. Dundas avoids the climatic restrictions of traditional seasons because as he said, he is constantly on the move, and Dundas’s girl is too:
«My woman has always been a nomad.
There’s always a place with snow in July and a beach in December.”
“Our woman will always get inspiration from places that we’ve seen or she’s seen.”
You can already pre-order the clothes at Moda Operandi. It will be followed by a partnership with Farfetch in the autumn, which will feature more accessibly-priced pieces.
