French psychological thriller «Bachelorette Nightmare» premieres at Cannes film festival, showcasing an international cast led by Eric Roberts
The psychological thriller «Bachelorette Nightmare», directed by French filmmaker Mustafa Ozgun and produced by Marina Podlesnykh, made its world premiere during the 2026 Cannes Film Festival, with its first industry screening taking place at the Marché du Film on May 13—the world’s leading international film market for producers, distributors and sales companies. A Paris premiere followed on May 15 at the historic Cinéma Saint-André des Arts, one of the capital’s oldest independent cinemas, located just steps away from Notre-Dame Cathedral.
Shot on location during the 2025 Cannes Film Festival and in Hollywood, Los Angeles, «Bachelorette Nightmare» brings together creative talent from France, the United States, and Ireland reflecting the increasingly international nature of contemporary independent filmmaking.
Set against the glamorous backdrop of the French Riviera, the English-language feature blends psychological suspense with mystery, exploring betrayal, ambition and the devastating consequences of hidden secrets. What begins as an extravagant bachelorette celebration quickly spirals into a deadly investigation, where no character can be fully trusted.
One of the film’s major attractions is the participation of Academy Award and Golden Globe nominee Eric Roberts, whose career spans more than four decades and hundreds of film and television productions. Roberts is internationally recognized for his performances in Runaway Train, The Dark Knight, The Expendables, The Specialist, The Pope of Greenwich Village, and numerous acclaimed independent films. In Bachelorette Nightmare, he portrays an influential American diplomat whose arrival in Cannes changes the course of the investigation and raises unsettling questions about the true forces operating behind the tragedy.
