Advices from art advisor Jean-Paul Claverie
Since 1990 Jean-Paul Claverie is the only one art advisor to Bernard Arnault, president of LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, the world’s leading luxury group. Claverie is in charge of the company’s budget for corporate art sponsorship. He was also in the origin of the idea of Foundation Louis Vuitton. Claverie persuaded that the “art patronage is a real expression of our corporate identity, and it underscores the values that have always defined our 60 companies: excellence, innovation, creativity.”
In the exclusive interview to TheStatusSymbol.com Claverie told me about advisor’s vision of aesthetic taste and personal development. According to Monsieur Claverie, to go deep into art world you have to:
- Go to the museums and temporary exhibitions
- Gain visual, sensitive and intellectual experience by interaction with art
- Understand that true art has to make you feel something, or even turn you off it
- Accept that true art is not made to feel better!
“True art can change you. You can reject it or get revelation”, — Jean-Paul Claverie.
