Moscow film festival – 2018

This year Moscow-based film festival of “A” category takes place on April 19-26 just before Cannes film festival. The festival was transferred to this dates because of the FIFA World Cup that Russia hosts in June.

Recently the direction presented of a new poster. The official lineup won’t be yet announced until April. Dedicated to the centenary of the birth of the great filmmaker, the retrospective of Ingmar Bergman is planned for the festival.

The Moscow International Film Festival is one of the oldest in the world. For the first time, it was held in 1935 with Sergei Eisenstein as chairman of the Jury. MIFF was established to showcase new and the best award-winning independent feature-length and short films from Russia and all over the world.
