Films by Coppola, Sorrentino, Lelouch, Lanthimos, Cronenberg, Audiard in competition at the 77th Cannes Film Festival

The Cannes Film Festival, the world's premier film festival, will take place this year from May 14 to May 25, 2024. Magazine The Status Symbol publishes a list of film screening participants. Critics are waiting for new films from the Main Competition by Jacques Audiard, Gilles Lelouch, David Cronenberg, Paolo Sorrentino, Francis Ford Coppola, and Yorgos Lanthimos. The film by American Sean Baker, which is also competing for the Palme d'Or, stars Russian actors Yuri Borisov and Mark Eidelstein.

Out of competition, Australian George Miller will present the film Furiosa: The Mad Max Chronicles. Also out of competition, American Kevin Costner will introduce the viewer to the first part of his epic western “Horizons”.

This year's Cannes Film Festival jury will be headed by director Greta Garwig (“Barbie”).
