20th century: sound, smell, image - three days in Samara
In Samara, on February 18, 19, 20, 2024, events dedicated to the art of the XNUMXth century will be held. Event organizers: Tretyakov Gallery in Samara, Samara State Institute of Culture and Moscow Contemporary Music Ensemble.
Viewers of the project “XX Century: Sound, Smell, Image” will be treated to a series of events on a theme related to the synthesis of arts and sensations. The project opens with an olfactory (fragrant) art breakfast, where the works of artists will be examined through the aromas of the era. The weekend will continue with the lecture “Experiments of synesthesia (synesthesia - confusion of feelings) in the art of the early 20th century.” The lecture will also discuss the emergence of performance as a form of modern art. The central event of the project will be the multimedia concert “Under Voltage” with the participation of the Moscow Contemporary Music Ensemble. The concert program includes works by S. Prokofiev, A. Mosolov, V. Deshevov, N. Popov, N. Khrust and others.
