Cannes Film Festival 2023: Catherine Deneuve on the official poster

The Cannes Film Festival, which will be held for the 76th time from May 16 to 27, 2023, presented the official poster with an archival photograph of French actress Catherine Deneuve.

On June 1, 1968, actress Catherine Deneuve stood on Pampelonne beach, near Saint-Tropez, where she was photographed on the set of the film “Surrender” by Alain Cavalier, based on the novel by Françoise Sagan, by photographer Jack Garofalo. She plays Lucille, who leads a high life with a taste for luxury. Her heart beats wildly and passionately. Like the heart of cinema that beats every year at the Cannes Film Festival.

The official poster was created by Villa Heartland (Lionel Avignon, Stéphane de Viviès) from a photograph of Jack Garofalo on the set of the film Surrender directed by Alain Cavalier and starring Catherine Deneuve, Michel Piccoli and Roger van Goal.
