Cannes Film Festival 2024: “Mad Max”, jury presidents and announcement of participants

The 2024 Cannes Film Festival will be truly stellar. Nine years after Mad Max: Fury Road, Australian director, writer and producer George Miller's acclaimed saga returns to the Croisette. The long-awaited Furiosa: The Mad Max Chronicles will be presented on May 15, 2024, in the presence of the director and the cast led by Anya Taylor-Joy, Chris Hemsworth and Tom Burke, out of competition at the Grand Théâtre Lumiere at the Palais des Festivals.

The director of the film “Barbie,” American Greta Gerwig, will chair the jury of the feature film competition at the 77th Cannes Film Festival. Canadian director Xavier Dolan will head the jury of the Un Certain Regard program at the Cannes Film Festival.

Only on April 11, 2024 will the films selected by a special committee participating in the Cannes Film Festival be known.
